Brownie base
- Put all the ingredients in a food processor or chopper and blitz until they form a dough.
- Press the dough into a tin or between two sheets of baking paper and shape it into a square or rectangle as thick as you like. (I recommend not too thick)
Topping
- Mix the coconut oil (not melted, no cheating😊) well with the cocoa.
- Add the syrup and vanilla extract and stir well.
- Add as much water as needed to get a chocolate-coating texture.
- Spread it over the base and scatter the chopped nuts on top.
- Chill for at least 2 h.
- Cut into squares and enjoy. Careful, it’s addictive!
- The brownie keeps perfectly for 1 week in a container in the fridge (if you manage not to eat it first😜).
